Play therapy for children and early teens
Offering a warm, accepting space where children feel safe to express themselves.
If you’re considering play therapy for your child, I’d be happy to talk through your questions and explain how the process works.
What to Expect
The therapy room is arranged with a variety of toys and creative materials that help children express themselves in ways that feel natural and comfortable.
Sessions take place once a week, as consistency is essential in building trust, emotional safety, and a strong therapeutic relationship.
Whether a child’s challenges are linked to a clear event or no identifiable cause, I am able to provide support.
Play therapy can be particularly effective for:
-
Anxiety
-
Low confidence
-
Relationship difficulties (with peers, siblings, or adults)
-
Emotional regulation
-
ADHD
-
Behavioural challenges
-
Family changes
-
Trauma
-
Difficulties expressing oneself

How It Works
3
1
Initial Contact
In a free 15-minute call, we can briefly discuss your child’s needs and the issues affecting them, and I’ll explain how play therapy works and how it can support them.
2
Assessment with parents / carer
We will meet to discuss your child’s background, strengths, challenges, and the areas you’d like me to focus on. This information will guide my work with your child.
3
Therapy Sessions
Your child will attend weekly sessions in a nurturing setting, where they can express themselves and we can work towards their therapeutic goals.

Review
After a few sessions, we’ll review your child’s progress together. I’ll share feedback on their engagement and may suggest small adjustments to help them make further progress.
